Sound element: two performances of Bach's E major fugue, both played by Glenn Gould, one in 50's and the other in late 70's. Using a computer, both recordings start playing at the same chord and gradually are split into interwoven displacements. Two lines are run parallel and return to the same final chord.
Accompanying the music, a visual element projects an image of a piano sound board splitting into two images and gradually turning around. Ultimately the image returns to its original form.
